City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Certificate In Advice And Guidance

About the course

This qualification was developed in association with the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and covers:

  • Communication and interactions to support clients in preparing and completing their chosen actions
  • The knowledge required to work with legislative and procedural frameworks
  • Working with other services through negotiation, liaison and referral
  • Understanding and promoting careers education guidance within organisations and enabling clients’ learning through group work, demonstration and instruction

Is it for me?

This qualification is for those working with clients in organisations providing advice and guidance services, on a professional or voluntary basis, and is ideal if your role involves providing specialist advice and guidance directly to clients and/or reporting to line management as well as associated services. You may also supervise and support other staff members.

Attendance

A 9-month course, studying one session per week, with flexible learning options available to complete the course sooner.

The course can be classroom-based or delivered entirely in the workplace by agreement. Various locations and times are available.
