West Bridgford Library

West Bridgford Library

Welcome to West Bridgford Library – we have great library services as well as a range of cultural, heritage and learning events.

You’ll find us on Bridgford Road, near to Bridgford Park and Central Avenue.

We have a friendly team who are always happy to help with anything. There’s something for everyone at this busy library.

The library is well stocked with a wide range of books to suit everybody’s needs, from children’s fiction and manga to adult crime and travel. Our local studies section is packed with literature, photographs, and maps. There are lots of displays and quick picks stands to inspire your selection, along with a bay of staff recommendations. If none of those take your fancy, then our staff are always on hand for even more recommendations and suggestions.

Share songs and rhymes with your little ones at one of our 3 busy Rattle Rhyme and Roll sessions. We also run craft activities in the school holidays and the Summer Reading Challenge in the Summer.

The library is a great place to socialise too. Drop in to one of our Places of Welcome sessions held every Wednesday at 10.30am and meet new people and chat over a free cuppa and biscuits. There’s also our monthly Reading Friends Book Group and Unwind with Words groups.

Our weekly Let’s Talk Tech sessions will be starting soon on a Tuesday afternoon from 2pm-3pm. If you want to learn to text, shop online, do video calls with family and friends, use email or upload photos, our friendly staff and volunteers will be there to answer your questions…over a cup of tea!

Check out the What’s On section for all of our events and courses. We are proud be just one of two Inspire libraries to host Jazz events. We’re also home to a fantastic range of community and family learning courses with Inspire Adult Learning. Whether you want to fit in a new hobby or learn a new skill, we can offer a high-quality learning experience.

If you are into art then the Gallery is the place for you. We have a dedicated space for local exhibitions of art and culture that change regularly.

The library also includes lots of tables for studying.

Don’t forget we to like us on Facebook page @InspireWestBridgfordLibrary where you can stay updated on our latest news, events, stock and behind the scenes library fun.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
