Bingham Library

Bingham Library

Welcome to Bingham Library!

We are an inclusive space and we run a range of cultural, heritage and learning events. We are a valued asset in the local community and are proud to be so. We are pleased to display the work of local artists in our gallery space which customers can view for free and buy if they wish.

We have a friendly and welcoming team of staff always happy to help. There’s something for everyone here; bring your little ones for stories, Rattle Rhyme and Roll sessions, Adventures in Music, Story Explorers, colouring or craft activities, and if Lego is your thing, then Saturday’s the day to visit! Our Lego Club runs from 1pm to 3pm.

With your library card you can access free Wi-Fi and use our PCs. We also offer a photocopying service for 20p per sheet in black and white.

If you’re interested in local history, come and see our extensive and varied localstudies collection. You can also access our specialist Micro Fiche machine where you can view historical documents relating to the local area as well as access to our substantial collection of both regional and national maps for your perusal.

The library is a great place to socialise. We have a bright and welcoming seating area where you can buy a range of hot beverages and biscuits. Feel free to come in by yourself or with others – have a chat, browse our newspapers or sit and watch the world go by! We provide space throughout the library for local groups to meet, such as our Reading Friends, Crafty Chat and local book groups.

Check out the What’s On section for all our events and courses. We’re home to a fantastic range of community and family learning courses with Inspire Learning. Whether you want to fit in a new hobby, meet new people or learn a skill, we can offer a high-quality learning experience. Most courses are free or at a moderate cost.

Don’t forget we have a Facebook page @InspireBinghamLibrary where you can stay updated on our latest news, events, stock and behind the scenes library fun.

We look forward to welcoming you into the library soon!
