Traineeships are a great way to gain high quality experience in an industry that you are interested in. A traineeship is a skills development programme that includes a significant work experience placement and contains vital training and study to support you to develop your employability skills and ensure you are ready for the world of work or further study, such as moving into an apprenticeship.

Not ready or not eligible for a traineeship? An important part of our offer is providing high quality information, advice and guidance about your next steps. This could be further learning, your journey into employment or the development of your career.
Traineeships can last from 6 weeks to 1 year, though most last for 6 months or less.
Work placements as part of the traineeship are unpaid; however, you can get support with travel and other expenses, depending on your circumstances.
