Recent changes to your library service

We've transitioned to a new system for managing customer data and library stock

Recently we've migrated to a new library management system, allowing us to manage customer data and stock more effectively. This is the computer system that our libraries use day-to-day, and it also linked to the online catalogue which you can access with your Inspire library card. When visiting our libraries, your experience will be much the same and our friendly approachable staff will do their best to assist you in your queries. You'll be able to use our self-service kiosks as usual, and your account will not be impacted by the change.

If you would like to view your account online, search our stock, reserve items or renew your current loans; check out our NEW online catalogue! You still get all the same great features of our old catalogue, but with improved usability, mobile optimisation and even more book recommendations than before.

Having problems? Take a look at our handy FAQs or watch a demonstration of how to log in.

While our catalogue is up and running already, there will be a period of time where data is transferring over to the new system. This may mean that certain item entries and account history, including loan history, could look different. Please be aware that we are aware of this and hope to resolve the issues as soon as possible.

Current disruption to our library service

  • We will temporarily be unable to order new stock while we are linking our ordering system with our new library management system.  We will aim to get popular recent releases onto our library shelves as soon as possible.
  • This also means we're unable to accept stock suggestions for the time being. Our online suggestion form will be accessible on our new library catalogue once this service is available again.
