Published 18th September 2024

Jazz Steps and Inspire present a night of spoken word poetry and funky jazz as part of the Inspire Poetry Festival 2024.

Accomplished jazz performance poet and percussionist David ‘Stickman’ Higgins and his jazz-funk ensemble will be performing at Worksop Library on Tuesday 1 October, 7.30pm, sharing pieces shaped by Higgins’ life experience and British Caribbean heritage.

This special performance is part of the annual Inspire Poetry Festival, and includes new work inspired by the free Beyond the Bassline exhibition in the library, which has been brought to Worksop Library for the festival.
