World Alzheimer's Month, which takes place every September (alongside World Alzheimer's Day on 21st September) is a global effort to raise awareness and challenge the stigma around Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Inspire proudly offers a supportive programme of events and resources for people living with dementia and their carers at our libraries. From dementia-friendly film screenings to specially curated dementia-friendly books and Memory Lane Bags, we’re here to provide a welcoming environment and access to meaningful activities.

Why not take part in our popular Sing with Friends sessions, designed to inspire connection through music? Be sure to visit our Care Squares Exhibition at Mansfield Central Library, open until 24th September, where you can see thousands of beautifully knitted squares and 226 cosy blankets created by Nottinghamshire crafters. All of the blankets on exhibition will be donated to people in care homes and hospital settings this autumn.

This World Alzheimer’s Month, The Alzheimer's Society is asking people affected by dementia to share your story. Make sure your voice is heard and share your experience of dementia – however it affects you and your family.

Inspire have some really great resources for people with memory issues:
