Ollerton library will be closing for essential building maintenance work and a general refurbishment on Saturday October 22nd at 12.30pm and will reopen in January 2023.
Included in the refurbishment work will be a complete internal redecoration as well as new shelving, flooring, comfortable and cosy seating areas and a tea and coffee station.
To improve accessibility and visibility the children’s library will be brought downstairs and will be a modern, bright, and welcoming area with new children’s furniture and carpets.
The whole refurbishment will be complimented by a selection of new books for all ages and interests.
During the closure you can use your library card at any library throughout Nottinghamshire, however, your nearest library is also in Ollerton – The Dukeries Library within The Dukeries Academy on Whinney Lane. This library stocks a full range of books and is open to everyone on weekdays, Monday – Thursday 8.30- 12.30 & 1-4pm, and Friday 8.30- 12.30 & 1-3.45 during term times.
Also, nearby (2.5 miles) is Edwinstowe Library which offers a wide selection of books, public PCs, WIFI, tea and coffee with comfortable seating areas and is open Tuesday 9-5.30, Thursday, 9-12.30, Friday 9-5.30 and Saturday 10-1.
In the meantime, we look forward to welcoming back all our customers both old and new in January 2023.
