Inspire Celebrates Library Lover’s Month with a Pop-Up Library at IKEA Nottingham!

February is Library Lover’s Month an excitingly Inspire were invited by IKEA Nottingham to hold a pop-up library inside the children’s bedroom department to help celebrate!

From 14 – 18 February we transformed one of the children’s bedroom sets into a library, complete with children’s fiction and non-fiction books, library membership forms, information about our services, stuffed toys, craft activities and a story time area. Customers followed a trail of pages from IKEA’s bestselling book which finished inside our library.

We had a fantastic time chatting to customers about our services and it was encouraging to hear from so many children who love books and reading as much as we do. It was great to see so many families take time out of their busy shopping schedules to enjoy quiet time with a book or join in with one of our story time sessions ran by library staff.

On Thursday, we were joined by a very special guest: Bookstart Bear! He had a fun day out meeting customers, spreading the love for reading and even participated in an IKEA meatball or two.
