Wearing a face covering is mandatory in libraries and archives from 10 December 2021, unless you are exempt.
Nottinghamshire Libraries and archives have loved welcoming you back!
Your safety is our priority so we continue to follow government guidance and have measures in place to protect you in our buildings, including ensuring good ventilation and maintaining regular cleaning. There are a few ways you can help us keep you and our staff safe:
- Wear a face covering - this is mandatory in libraries and archives from 10 December 2021, unless you are exempt
- Use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry
- Refrain from visiting if you have symptoms of Coronavirus
- Respect others’ space
We’re pleased to continue our Click & Collect service in static libraries. However, please note that all mobile libraries have returned to regular browsing and are also subject to current guidance for face coverings.
Please continue to check opening times before visiting us and follow us on social media (@NottsLibraries on Facebook and Twitter) for the latest updates, including any local service disruption. If you’re visiting us to access PCs, we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Events, courses and activities will go ahead in line with government guidance. Check with your local library for details.
Nottinghamshire Archives is offering a full service with full measures in place to keep you and staff safe. It is not necessary to book an appointment before visiting. Visit their webpage for full details and opening times.
Our service information page at inspireculture.org.uk/servicedisruption will be updated regularly with the latest information. Inspire Online will also continue to enable you to enjoy culture, learning and libraries from home.
For any queries, Ask Inspire can be contacted on 01623 677 200 or ask@inspireculture.org.uk. Nottinghamshire Archives can be contacted by emailing archives@inspireculture.org.uk.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
