Our community and family learning courses are for everyone aged 19+.
Brush up your English, maths and IT skills – all our Functional Skills courses and Essential Digital Skills Qualifications are completely free if you don’t have relevant qualifications already.
You’ll also find courses to boost your career and employability such as our part or fully funded level 1 and 2 qualifications in mental health awareness, volunteering, principles of coaching sport, awareness of substance misuse, developing an enterprise project and food safety in catering. The perfect addition to your cv!
Get creative with photograpy and painting, or textile crafts such as macramé and embroidery.
Learn about heart health, lift your mood through meditation, or learn about positive psychology, personal development and life coaching.

We know Covid-19 has had an impact on secure employment in our local communities and we’re here to help. As well as employability, functional skills and accredited courses we have dedicated funding through the Way2Work initiative, to support residents in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Derby and Derbyshire into training and employment.
If you’re aged 16 or over, unemployed or looking for a career change, you may be eligible for free personalised support with no impact on benefits.

Get help into training and employment
If you’re aged 16-24, and you’re not sure what your next steps are, it's not too late to enrol!
You’ll earn up to £20 a week and get help with travel expenses, and a personalised programme with individual support.
Our programmes include Employability Skills, Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English, and a range of City & Guilds or AIM Awards qualifications in Hospitality, IT, Bricklaying and Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Painting and Decorating, and Health and Social Care.

If you've been thinking about going to university but you don't have the qualifications you need, Inspire Learning can help!
We're still accepting students on to our Access to Higher Education in Health and Social Care course, which is a fantastic stepping stone for you if you don't have the qualifications you need to get into university, or you've been away from education for some time.
We have links with local universities, and can offer a pathway for some students to continue their studies at Nottingham Trent University.
