After a year of delivering their weekly dance and music projects online our Inspire Youth Arts team, based at The Old Library on Leeming Street, are back and looking for new recruits!
As well as a number of contemporary dance groups at venues across the county, the team also run a street dance group, MX Street Dance Collective, at the Old Library each week with various sessions tailored for the complete beginner through to more advanced dancers, all of which get to learn new techniques, work on their choreography skills and perform as a crew at regional dance events.
For the more musically minded they have a wide range of music sessions taking place, from their very own Old Library Rock School programme and Singer-Songwriter Academy, to swing bands, choirs steel pans and urban music, taking place in their professional recording studio and rehearsal rooms.
Sam Holgate-Davey, Principal Arts Officer for Inspire Youth Arts said “we’re just so happy to finally be back meeting with our groups each week and seeing the amazing talent Mansfield has to offer. Our professional dancers and musicians work so hard with the groups to develop their talents, boost their confidence and help them to unlock their full potential, we can’t wait to see what they have in store in the coming months”.
The team are welcoming new members to their groups and have full details of their autumn programme online, click here to see full details of each group and to sign up!
