This June, the Music Education Hubs East Midlands team (MEHEM) are holding two FREE online twilight Music Education CPD sessions on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th June, 4.00-6.00pm.
Access to this event is free to music educators in the East Midlands, subsidised by the music hubs of MEHEM with funding from Arts Council England / DfE.
Tuesday 29 June – Keynote presentation
4.00-6.00pm | Keynote presentation by Mark Phillips Senior HMI (Ofsted): Why just ‘doing’ music isn’t enough.
This keynote will be followed by phase specific case studies by school colleagues from across the East Midlands as well as the opportunity to discuss the keynote further in breakout rooms.
Wednesday 30 June – Sessions
4.00-4.20pm | Intro session: Body percussion warm ups from around the world. Ollie Tunmer from Beat Goes On will take you on a whirlwind journey of fun, high energy body percussion warm-ups, based on rhythms from a variety of cultures.

5.30-6.00pm | Closing session: End the 2-day virtual CPD on a high by joining award-winning tenor, choral director and vocal coach Charles MacDougall for an interactive, energising and joyful singing session.
