Inspire Culture and Nottinghamshire County Council are committed to the well-being of staff and customers during the current coronavirus pandemic.
All Inspire venues are now closed until further notice.
This includes all Nottinghamshire County Libraries, mobile libraries, Archives, Arts, 16-18 Study Programmes, Adult, Community and Family Learning. This is in line with Nottinghamshire County Council’s response to government guidance on social distancing and plans to focus on essential services.
Inspire will provide a number of virtual services at inspireculture.org.uk/online including Learning, eResources such as eReading, eAudio and eMagazines at inspireculture.org.uk/eresources. Inspire Music have also issued an update to schools about alternative service methods. We will be reviewing and increasing our online offer to provide other eServices during this time.
Cllr John Cottee,
Chairman of the Communities and Place Committee at Nottinghamshire County
Council and also of the Inspire Board, commented;
“During these uncertain times we are committed to the wellbeing of our staff and service users. It is in the interests of the whole community that we have reviewed how we might deliver our services during these challenging times. We will continue to operate in a virtual way, with a variety of online resources already available. We will also be exploring how we extend our online offer, so customers can still access our services remotely”.
Visit inspireculture.org.uk for regular updates, access to resources and for information about remote access to some of our other services. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter @NottsLibraries to keep up to date.
