New Fees and Charges 2019/20 for Libraries, Archives and Information Service
Every year we review our fees and charges in Nottinghamshire Libraries and Archives with consideration of a number of factors such as inflation, other library services, charges from suppliers and external organisations. This year we have not made significant changes but have focused on consistency across all service points, to improve customer experience.
The following changes have been approved by Nottinghamshire County Council and are effective from 1 April 2019:
Libraries
- Small increases in costs of consumables such as flip chart paper and memory sticks.
- Minor adjustments to some meeting room hire rates.
- Decrease in Mansfield Central Library gallery hire rates to be in line with Beeston and Worksop.
Archives
- Increases in copying charges, enquiries and research services and group visits/ talks have been adjusted to allow for increased staff costs.
- Some fees eg translation and professional advice and reproduction/ publication fees have been stated to increase transparency for customers.
- Certified copies are in line with the Church of England Table of Parochial Fees as prepared by the Archbishop’s Council.
- Microfiche charges postage and handling is to be changed to an at-cost fee, to be fairer to customers.
Any quotations for reprographics or research work provided prior to 30 March 2019 will be honoured under the 2018/19 fees and charges until 30 April 2019.
