Voice Choice partnership news!

Voice Choice delivered a fantastic opera led project in Sutton Community Academy last autumn inspired by Mozart's The Magic Flute - and we've a sneak peak at their inspirational video, 'Develop Skills Through Opera'.

Voice Choice designed the project to use large-scale and high quality music workshops based around opera to engage up to 90 students in Ashfield district. The project would specifically support arts development and skill sharing in Sutton Community Academy and also support the skill development of a group of Year 9 Performing Arts students, future 'Young Leaders', who went on to achieve their Discover Arts Award.

In partnership with our Hub, the project also linked in with a local community groups and a feeder school, Brierley Park Primary.

The project concluded in a workshop performance led by Sutton's 'Young Leaders' and included community participants performing alongside professional musicians and opera singers. The short film records the impact on participants and staff.

'Developing Skills Through Opera' was an Arts Council funded project.
