Inspire Youth Arts tutor becomes BBC Introducing Artist of the Week

Nina will be performing two of her tracks live across all 40 local BBC radio stations at 9pm tomorrow night (Thursday 1 March) and releases her debut single from her first album White Feathers today. She also featured on BBC Radio Nottingham’s Alan Clifford show this week to talk about her inspiration and  work.

Nina works alongside young people from across the county as part of the Inspire Youth Arts singer/songwriter workshops, acting as a tutor and mentor to help guide and develop their own talents. Andy Dawson, Manager for Inspire Youth Arts commented, “Nina's energy and passion to support young songwriters is off the scale, plus she brings real world knowledge and experience to the work which is invaluable. We are very lucky to have such a talented artist work for us!”

Nina smith has already featured on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1Xtra with rapper Scorzayzee. She has also supported Alesha Dixon, Belinda Carlisle and THePETEBOX. Her latest EP reached number four in the R’n’B iTunes chart. In the past Nina has Performed on SBTV and on behalf of SBTV for Instagram and Jamie Oliver. She’s also had the pleasure of meeting Prince Harry. Along with her work regionally, she also songwrites professionally in London for international artists. One of which has just featured on the front cover of Vogue for the single she wrote.
