Sian Watson Taylor joined the team in autumn 2023, Sian is one of five artists who've been creating new workshops specifically designed for early years children.
Sian Watson Taylor, Kinaesthetic and Sensory Visual Artist
“Motivation, Curiosity, Creativity, Imagination, Identity”.
Sian specialises in running visual art and movement workshops that help find ways of broadening the learning experiences of children and families, working towards using imaginative re-thinking to gain a deeper understanding of how children learn from the spaces around them. Her work includes drawing, sculpture, installations, performance and sound. These are just a few ways in which she helps children and families to open the door and allow imagination & creativity to come to life, fostering curiosity, imagination, investigation, and collaboration.
“I have always believed that creativity has an amazing power to inspire and challenge and allow children and families to have control over their own lives : the wonderful frisson of excitement that happens when you are exploring art and the unexpected moments that jump up and celebrate the experiences that are happening. The power of creativity, it is a wonderful and magical thing to see and take part in.”
