The Inspire Youth Arts team have had a massive contribution to my career and learning. Having started out as a young person taking part in dance projects and events IYA had to offer, I then went onto studying dance at university and completing a work placement with IYA on my final year. From then onwards, I'm now part of the team at IYA as a Youth Support Worker and I am a Freelance Dance Artist / Teacher who works in partnership with inspire to help deliver and assist some of their outstanding dance sessions and projects they have to offer.
They have supported my career from the day dot and I wouldn't be where I am without them and all their support. Over the past few months I have received mentoring from Andy Dawson and Jon Bevan for the work I completing with SANDance who are just one of their amazing dance groups for young people. Their guidance and support is hugely appreciated and inspiring to me, they help aid my visions and continue to provide me with opportunities. My learning still continues to grow and I know that with all the fantastic support I get from all the team at IYA I am going to go on to achieve great things with Inspire.
