About this course

This NCFE Level 3 certificate will allow you to increase your knowledge, skills and understanding of coding. Successful completion of the required units of this qualification will allow you to develop in-depth knowledge, skills and understanding of coding practices. It will also help you progress into relevant employment and further study in coding. 

Please Note: sessions will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 10:00am-2:30pm (with a 30 minute break).

This course comprises 5 units: 

  • Coding requirements and planning 
  • Understand coding design 
  • Implementation of coding 
  • Software testing 
  • Understand deployment, maintenance and configuration management 

There are no formal pre-requisites for this course, but a Level 2 IT qualification (e.g., Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Coding) would be an advantage.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.  Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
