Inspire is delighted to have received funding from the UK government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, for our Pride in our Place Project.
We have been working with pupils at St Patrick's Catholic Primary School to deliver wonderful art workshops with Edwina Kung. We have also been working with the local community of Harworth and Bircotes with Neil Pledger for a series of photography workshops, snapping some memorable shots, capturing the essence of today for the eyes of tomorrow!
The contemporary photography of place informed and inspired by heritage photos from the Inspire Picture Archive, alongside artwork based on heritage maps created by the pupils, has created a fantastic exhibition celebrating Pride in our Place in Harworth and Bircotes.
We are now bringing these exciting workshops to libraries in Bassetlaw.
Join us for Inspire's exciting 'Pride in our Place' workshops with photographer Neil Pledger and artist Edwina Kung - see below for a list of workshop dates and times!
Snap up this opportunity to take part in a hands-on workshop with photographer Neil Pledger. The two-hour workshop is an introduction to photo composition techniques, specifically tailored to heritage and place photography. It will explore Inspire’s Picture Archive, and how to record your local area for future generations, taking Pride in our Place.
