Inspire has been chosen to join Arts Council England’s National Portfolio from April 2018.  National Portfolio Organisations are those who received regular funding from the Arts Council, and Inspire will receive £249,999 each year for a four-year period.

We will use the money to deliver an ambitious programme of work to:

  • deliver an exciting programme of arts and cultural activities and events in libraries for young people and families
  • develop innovative cultural programmes in libraries for under 5s
  • deliver a range of arts activity accessible to young people with disabilities
  • develop and innovate digital arts.

The investment in services will build upon our successful programme of arts, cultural and learning events held throughout its libraries and innovative projects such as the Able Orchestra.  It is the first time that library services have been eligible to apply to become part of the National Portfolio.
