Family theatre in the library this Easter holiday

Published 27th March 2017

This Easter holidays, Inspire libraries are getting ready to host a series of dance theatre performances packed with stunning movement and spectacular lifts.

Where the River Runs presented by Full House Theatre, in association with Motionhouse has been made specifically with young audiences in mind.  The production, aimed at children aged 5+, tells the story of a brave adventurer trying to cross a river.    A wild and wonderful journey is set in motion when the river waters suddenly come to life.

As part of a national tour performances are coming to Hucknall, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Mansfield Central, Retford, West Bridgford (SOLD OUT) and Worksop libraries.

This season of performances are part of an Arts Council England funded project Among Ideal Friends.  Among Ideal Friends is a theatre touring consortium developed by The Spark Arts for Children in partnership with libraries in the East MidlandsThe programme is designed to provide opportunities for families to take part in arts and culture at venues on their doorstep.

Peter Gaw, Inspire’s Chief Executive commented, “Our family theatre performances have proved hugely popular with children and families across the county.  We are delighted to continue to provide fun and imaginative productions as part of our partnership with The Spark Arts.”
